Performance record Resolved complaints relative to federal and regional administration 2016 A total of 10,735 investigative proceedings could be resolved in the year under review, of which 8,696 were initiated in the same year, and 2,039 in the previous years. In 2,096 cases the AOB ascertained maladministration, which is equivalent to 19.5% of all resolved proceedings. This means that around every fifth complaint resulting in an investigative proceeding was justified. In 3,849 complaints, the members of the AOB saw no reason for criticism. 4,790 cases were outside the AOB mandate. The AOB informed those affected about the result of the investigation after 42 days on average.
