NATIONAL LEGAL FRAMEWORK CONCERNING THE APPLICATION OF CROSS-BORDER INSTRUMENTS TO PERSONS WITH INTELLECTUAL AND/OR PSYCHOSOCIAL DISABILITIES IN LAW AND PRACTICE In 2014, the Law of the Republic of Lithuania on mutual recognition and enforcement of decisions of EU member states in criminal cases was adopted6, the purpose of which is to ensure the implementation of certain legal acts of the European Union regulating criminal proceedings, which apply the principle of mutual recognition of decisions in criminal cases.
