The SPT also has an advisory
role in relation to the NPM.

of their liberty is the goal of the NPM’s work.

Places for deprivation of liberty
The NPM regularly visits places where persons are, or may be,
deprived of their liberty in order to identify risk factors for
violations and to improve the conditions for those who are there.
