6.9 The general public Over and above the opportunities provided for consultation with NGOs and other representatives of civil society on the plan, it is desirable that there should be specific mechanisms for consultation with the general public. These may include an interactive web site, public meetings, invitations to members of the public to make individual submissions, and use of the media, for example through talkback radio.
