THE IMPORTANCE OF REHABILITATION AND SOCIAL REINTEGRATION The Doha Declaration The Doha Declaration, adopted in 2015 at the 13th UN Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, called for the integration of crime prevention and criminal justice into the wider agenda of the UN – acknowledging that sustainable development and the rule of law are closely interrelated and mutually reinforcing.
