POLICE-RELATED ACTIVITIES OF FIELD OPERATIONS central ASIA On 15 and 16 June, the Centre facilitated the participation of the delegation from Turkmenistan in the fourth workshop entitled “Prevention of Trafficking in Human Beings in Supply Chains through Government Practices and Measures”, in Astana, Kazakhstan. The workshop was organized by OSR/ CTHB. On 30 June, the Centre facilitated the participation of a senior prosecutor in the meeting of National Anti-Trafficking Coordinators and Rapporteurs from the participating States, organized by the OSR/CTHB in Vienna, Austria. On 9 November, representatives of the Centre participated in the meeting of the technical working group on counter- trafficking issues in Turkmenistan, hosted by UNODC. A manual for criminal justice practitioners containing examples of good practice in the area of training on the prevention of THB was presented to the national and international participants. On 23 and 24 November, the Centre participated in a workshop co-organized by the OSR/CTHB, the International Labour Organization and the Swiss Federal Department for Foreign Affairs in Geneva, Switzerland. Participants discussed transparency, labour regulations, and existing practices on prevention of THB related to governmental supply chains, especially with public procurement.
