Seminar in Paphos, Cyprus Other events 26 The Seventh Seminar of the National Ombudsmen of EU Member States was held from 5 – 7 April 2009 in Paphos, Cyprus and was dedicated to the topic of migration and its effect on the work of national ombudspersons. Ombudsperson Gertrude Brinek, who represented Austria, took this opportunity to continue collaboration with the European Ombudsman and numerous colleagues from other European countries. Moreover Ombudsperson Peter Kostelka attended the General Assembly of the European Ombudsman Institute (EOI) in Florence, as well as conferences in Sao Paulo, Brazil and Brno, Czech Republic.
