In spring 2014, an external competition for staf with experience of working in CPT-related felds was opened by the Council of Europe, in order to fll the existing vacancies and to create a reserve list for any future recruitment within the CPT’s Secretariat. These procedures were completed in June 2014 and, in autumn 2014, three new administrators, Dalia Žukauskienė, Francesca Gordon and Janet Foyle, joined the CPT’s Secretariat on fxed-term contracts. Finally, the CPT wishes to reiterate its hope that in due course it will be possible for its Secretariat to be reinforced by another B4 post, thereby enabling all three of the operational divisions to have the beneft of such an ofcial. As experience has shown, these staf members can perform a range of support tasks, thereby ensuring that optimal use is made of the existing complement of administrators, which the CPT is not seeking to have increased.
