The leadership of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the administration of the pre-trial detention centers, implemented measures to create conditions that meet the minimum standard rules for the treatment of prisoners. As part of this, it was planned to build new buildings for pre-trial detention centers in Astana and in Almaty. The recommendations of NPM members on the outcome of visits to the military confinement facility were taken into account.
