of Eastern Attica, 20 persons transferred to the Branch for People
with Disabilities of Western Attica and one person being transferred

Private elderly care unit
Under the European Charter of Rights and Responsibilities of Older
People in need of Long-term care and Assistance, older people have a
right to dignity, physical and mental integrity, freedom and security, as
they are obliged to rely on others to support and take care of them. In
this context, a NPM team for the first time carried out an inspection of
a private elderly care unit. It will be followed by more visits to geriatric
hosting structures for the elderly, in order to monitor the living conditions
of this especially vulnerable group.
