4.2 Mission to
Bosnia and Herzegovina
Introduction
In line with its mandate and through close collaboration between its different sections, the
OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina (the Mission) continued to provide essential
assistance to the host country’s police in effectively addressing complex security challenges.
Through the provision of training and expert assistance and by fostering inter-agency
co-operation and partnerships with civil society, the Mission supported the enhanced
engagement of law enforcement agencies in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) on P/C VERLT,
counter-terrorism, anti-corruption, hate crimes and domestic violence, and strengthening
border and cyber security. The Mission also worked closely with law enforcement agencies in
advancing gender mainstreaming and promoting freedom of assembly.
