E Y E W ITN ESS TO FORCED DEPORTATIONS BY TH E POLICE Since 1 April 2011, the Ombudsman has monitored the police handling of forced deportations of foreign nationals without legal residence who do not wish to leave Denmark voluntarily. The monitoring is assigned to a staff member with the Ombudsman institution. In this article, he reviews the overall situation using a specific forced deportation of an Afghan family as example.
