ANNUAL SPECIAL REPORT 2018 49 bined with the existence of a population with mixed migrant profiles, creates severe communication problems. The problem of informing detainees about the length of their detention is highlighted by various discussions with detainees, a problem that tends to be more intense in cases of unaccompanied minors whose detention often exceeds one month. iii. Corinth Pre-Removal Detention Centre During the inspection of this pre-removal centre, one of the premises of the facility remained closed due to a decrease in the number of detainees as compared to the past. However, the 12-person dormitories with 2-level bunk beds were found to be below the 4 m. specifications. per detainee in public places of detention. Positive signs, compared with previous observations, include the installation of solar water heaters, the normalisation of the Autonomous Asylum Scale procedures (an average of 471 applicants per month for registration and two weeks for the interview), an increase in pre-hospitalisation hours and recruitment, through AEMY, of nursing staff and a physician who has treated the existing scabies problem. There are also two social workers and a psychologist, who the detainees visit only escorted by police, whenever this is possible in terms of the adequacy of the staff at the Pre-removal centre. An Arabic interpreter covers only a small number of the languages spoken by the detainees. Cleaning has also been found to be inadequate, and a total lack of recreational activities remains a major problem. ●
