In 2013 5 reception centers for children discontinued their operation for the reason of incompliance with the domestic and international standards. Currently 12 such centers operate and one is under renovation. In furtherance of the Ombudsman’s recommendations based on the results of NPM representatives’ visit to the center for persons subjected to administrative arrest in the City of Ivano-Frankivsk the Police Department of Ivano-Frankivsk Region passed a decision to liquidate this institution.
